Countryside is seeking a TEACHER for our Middle School Adolescent Program. Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree as well as their Secondary Montessori credentials.

Candidates should possess the following qualities:

  • Experience working within a Middle School classroom and have a thorough understanding and appreciation of the Montessori philosophy.
  • The ability to demonstrate a warm and caring manner with students and parents.
  • Be creative thinkers, hardworking team players, and strong, effective communicators.
  • Be an excellent preparer of the classroom environment and meet the academic needs of all students.
  • Take observational notes on each child and be prepared to communicate to parents the growth of each child throughout the school year.

Countryside is seeking a DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT. Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree a plus), have 5 plus years of increasingly responsible experience and demonstrated success in development and fundraising, excellent organizational, managerial, communication, interpersonal, and public relation skills, and knowledge of Raiser's Edge and other relevant software packages. The school seeks a highly energetic and dynamic development director who can and will empower the school's mission and vision. Reporting to and in partnership with the Head of School, the Director of Development will lead the overall advancement, development and fundraising efforts.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage the implementation of a Capital Campaign Plan, Countryside's Annual Giving Campaign, Alumni Giving Program,
  • Manage Scholarship Endowment and planned giving
  • Secure sponsorships and other financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Pursue opportunities for and develop grant applications
  • Oversee organization and execution of special events
  • Prepare Countryside's Annual Report
  • Conduct research to identify donor prospects
  • Manage the implementation of Countryside's data entry and gift processing
  • Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Create and execute a strategy for a sustained base of annual individual donors and prospects
  • Recommend fundraising policies and procedures
