One Fund
Creating the One Fund for Countryside Montessori School brings students, parents, teachers, administrators and board members together as One Team. The One Fund campaign is Countryside Montessori School’s annual fundraising campaign. It is the foundation for the school’s sustainable fundraising activities.Experience indicates that it is difficult to consistently secure larger gifts for special projects and capital purposes or to build an endowment without a strong annual fund that has widespread and generous support for the total constituency of the school. Every Charlotte area independent school, in addition to many public schools, is fully engaged in an annual fund program.
Purpose
- To offer parents, grandparents, faculty and staff an opportunity to give to ONE FUND for the entire school.
- To offer constituents of Countryside Montessori School an appropriate way to exercise the stewardship of their financial resources.
- To offer the opportunity for constituents to share financially in the fulfillment of the mission of the school.
- To raise funds needed for annual operating budget and, thereby, ensure the year-to-year financial stability of the school.
- To help donors better understand the importance of their annual involvement and to encourage them to continue and increase their level of giving.
- To provide a base from which potential major gift and planned gift prospects are identified, cultivated, and eventually reach their highest giving potential.
Support
The growth momentum of Countryside by nature of its location, history and continuity has been phenomenal. The school has a reputation for offering the best Montessori education in Charlotte. The outcome is that Countryside Montessori graduates are well prepared for their next educational steps and for life. In order to sustain the high-level supportive learning environment for our children, we are engaged in sustainable fundraising efforts. The One Fund helps Countryside carry on with its mission of providing opportunities within a challenging and supportive learning environment for our children.
Countryside parents exhibit a high degree of appreciation for their school. Many are actively involved in a volunteer capacity. Each year many parents include Countryside in their charitable giving. All this demonstrates the confidence parents have in the school and the quality Montessori education it provides for their children.
The cost of tuition is a very significant expenditure for parents. Yet, the tuition does not cover all the costs of educating our children. 97% of the school operating budget of $3.3 million is funded by tuition and related sources of income. The remaining 3% is supplied through various gifts and programs over the course of the year. In looking to stretch this gap, our
One Fund provides additional resources for our students and faculty. A balanced operating budget is important in order to assure the financial viability of the school, but the real purpose of the funds raised through the
One Fund is to provide
One Dream of an enhanced education to every Countryside Montessori student.
